Lionel Smit Reportedly ‘fascinated by the structure of the artwork’, Lionel Smit is a painter who’s oeuvre is informed by the processes of sculpture. This twenty-eight year-old artist has been described as ‘constructing’ his paintings ‘… from large but deftly placed brushstrokes and a bold palette’.
