Premium Members Artist’s statement Johann Moolman The majority of contemporary mainstream art is primarily concerned with urban issues of a socio political nature. Working from within a rural environment Moolman is more concerned with deriving inspiration from the subconscious and the esoteric. Together with an astute awareness of contemporary international trends in art, Moolman also derives inspiration from classical African art, Bushman art, archaeology and the archaic myths, symbols and artifacts of “...[more] L.B.
